As per Ayurveda, Vata imbalance located in your muscles, tendons and ligaments will cause pains and aches. Vata imbalance occurs due to over exertion, excessive and continuous intake of bitter-spicy-astringent food, keeping awake at nights, mental stress, avoidance or over intake of food, suppression of urges etc. Vata also imbalance in dry and hot climatic conditions. Marma are vital points throughout the body particularly seen at your joints. Injury to these vital points can also cause a sudden onset of significant pain, bruising, severe swelling, and restricted movement.
Ankle pain is caused by sudden twisting injuries that result in sprains.
